Job Description

An expanding energy trading company is seeking an IT Director to lead its technology department. A significant area of focus will be the rapid evolution of business-critical IT systems.

We have approximately twenty s/w development projects and an infrastructure build out in progress. We currently largely outsource our s/w development to a small number of overseas providers.

Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

- hedge fund / front office trading environment experience

- a business results driven approach

- a highly energetic and entrepreneurial mindset

- experience managing leading-edge front office systems in a fast-paced financial services environment

- a demonstrable track record of ensuring successful and timely implementation of projects

- the ability to maintain a strategic perspective

- experience and commercial astuteness in the selection and management of third party overseas developers

- the leadership skills to evolve the companys existing technology function to the next level

- strong communication skills
