Role Purpose

Perform the leading and coordination of Developers, Technical Writer(s) and Tester(s) using Agile and SCRUM and KANBAN principles and methodologies

Key Responsibilities

-Responsible for the delivery of software integration components and interfaces as defined and required by the Product Owner/s.
-Reporting and direct communication to and with the Agile Development Manager.
-Collaborate with integration architects and partake in integration architecture discussions
-Ensures that the SCRUM process is used as intended.
-Ensures that the SCRUM process, and where applicable, the KANBAN process is used as intended.
-Assist and provide guidelines to the Applications Business Analyst relating to technical integration solution aspects in support of documenting project required ICD’s and Integration Specifications.
-Assist and provide guidelines to the Applications Business Analysts and Integration Developers towards Integration Testing, Unit Testing and Migration Testing and associated documentation thereof.
-See to the producing of development standards documentation and adherence to these.
-Responsible for the producing of detailed technical documentation to agreed quality standards, such as development specifications.
-Work with Software Development to resolve any problems related to application software. This will include the provisioning of detailed descriptions of problems and packaging them so that they can be reproduced.
-Work with Software Development and support staff for external systems to resolve problems with interfacing.
-Work with other team members to support and coordinate testing activities (e.g. integration, unit, system, migration and user acceptance).
-Facilitate communication and coordination with other development-teams when and where required.
-Keeping track of all Backlog items, statuses of the different projects / interfaces per airport
-Assist the COE project manager as and when appropriate in ensuring implementation and acceptance is obtained in line with the requirements approved by the customer.
-Direct communication with Product Owners and other stakeholders when requested
-Identify areas for improvement and support on-going continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Education & Qualifications

- University/college degree or an equivalent higher education qualification.

Experience

- Experienced Integration Developer
– Experience in managing people and teams
– Experience in Agile SCRUM (essential) and KANBAN (Desirable), inclusive of managing planning sessions, demo’s and retrospectives
– Experience in Change Management
– Experience in Test Management
– Experience in Version and Release Management procedures
– Experience in the Integration of Applications within complex projects
– Work experience within an International Cross Matrix Organisation a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

Profile:

-University/college degree or an equivalent higher education qualification.
-Experienced Integration Developer
-Must have the ability to managing people and teams
-Experience in Agile SCRUM and KANBAN, inclusive of managing planning sessions, demo’s and retrospectives is desirable
-Experience in Change Management
-Experience in Test Management
-Experience in Version and Release Management procedures
-Experience in the Integration of Applications within complex projects.
-Attention to detail with regard to administrative tasks
-Ability to infrequently travel on project based assignments.
-Excellent English language oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge and skills:

-Proven technical competency and experience required in the following key technologies used:
-IBM Message Broker / Integration Bus,
-IBM MQ,
-XML, XSL, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, XPath
-JAVA (SPRING, JDBC, JMS),
-MSSQL, SQLITE,
-XPATH, SCRIPTING, SQL, ESQL

Skills and experience are also desirable in the following areas:

-JIRA / Target Process / Other
– GIT
– Gerrit
-Jenkins (or other continuous integration tool)
-Linux
